The Nation's Triathlon race day schedule
Sunday, September 14th
4am:
Access to free race- day parking begins. Competitors may drive down to the transition area and park in the A, B, and C lots by the National Park Service office at the corner of Ohio Dr and Buckeye Drive. Access is available only via East Basin Drive. You may not exit the lot until 1pm. You can enter the parking lot via 15th St, 14th, Maine Ave, Water St, Independence Ave or any other road east of 15th. You can also enter via the Potomac Park onramp from 395.

5am:
The Nissan Transition area opens. Race bracelet required for entry
Porta potties open
5:30am:
Body marking begins
7am:
Transition area closes
First swim wave
9am:
Last swim wave
10:00am:
Awards ceremony begin
1pm:
Parking lot opens
3pm:
All gear must be out of The Nissan Transition area
We will have bike mechanics on duty race morning who will be able to perform minor bike
maintenance at no charge. They will have bike pumps but its better if you bring your own. If you do please share it with those around you. The bike mechanic tent is located next to
The Nissan Transition area.
A water station will be located next to The Nissan Transition area with water, hydration fuel and sports gel. We should have enough water to fill your water bottle but to be safe, you may want to fill it before you arrive.
Proceed directly to the chip
distribution and body marking area. Please pick up your race chip and make sure you body is marked. There is NO chip
distribution prior to race morning.
