The Nation's Triathlon welcomes spectators, family and friends to our event

The Nation's Triathlon® is an awesome spectator event! We encourage you to come out and watch the competitors and cheer them on. The first swim wave starts at 7am and the last wave is about 9am. From there spectators can walk around to the transition area and watch as racers get on their bikes and head out for the course. Bikers come by the transition area twice before they finish so it’s a great place to watch a lot of activity and bikers going by.

PLEASE DO NOT STEP IN FRONT OF ANY COMPETITOR AND BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND THE COURSE!! We do not have the entire route closed off to foot traffic so we are counting on you to look both ways before you cross the street. Please be very careful. This can be a dangerous situation for both you and the competitor. This is especially true around the finish line area.

The JetBlue Airways Finish Festival is also a great place to watch the race. It is very exciting to see competitors when they cross the finish line and see the emotions on their faces as the finish a triathlon. The finish line area is tentatively set for 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Another great vantage point is the corner of 6th Street NW and Constitution Avenue. You will be able to see both the runners and the bikers go by you a number of times. Please be careful not to step in their path.
