Event Info - Transportation

Parking, Directions & Shuttle

The race is located in the heart of Washington, DC. The transition area, course, and finish line festival will be accessible via car or metro. Free parking will be available on race day.


Getting to the Expo:

The expo will be centrally located in downtown DC on Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th.  More details about the exact location of the Expo will be coming soon.


Getting to the Transition Area:

By car, the transition area will be accessible from Rt 395 (Potomac Park Exit) or from East of 15th St. You will not be able to drive down Independence Avenue as roads will be closed. We will send to all athletes complete and comprehensive parking and driving instructions.


Parking:

Expo: There will be a variety of parking options available at the expo from on-street (please feed meters accordingly) to garages in the area.

Race Day:  The lot is located approximately one mile south of the transition area. The lot is open to all triathletes, family and friends. Parking spaces are limited so please arrive early. Parking will also be available near the host hotel and a shuttle to the transition area will be provided for athletes.


Shuttle Service:

Shuttle service will be provided the morning of the race from the host hotel. The service is for athletes only and will run from 4 am until 6:15 am.
