Spectators - Overview

Spectator Information

The Nation’s Triathlon welcomes spectators, family and friends to our event

PLEASE DO NOT STEP IN FRONT OF ANY COMPETITOR AND BE VERY CAREFUL AROUND THE COURSE!! We do not have the entire route closed off to foot traffic so we are counting on you to look both ways before you cross the street. Please be very careful. This can be a dangerous situation for both you and the competitor. This is especially true around the finish line area.

The Nation’s Triathlon is an awesome spectator event! We encourage you to come out and watch the athletes and to cheer them on. The first swim wave starts at 7am and the last wave is about 9am. From there spectators can walk around to the transition area and watch as racers get on their bikes and head out for the course.

The Finish Festival is also a great place to watch the race. It is very exciting to see competitors when they cross the finish line and see the emotions on their faces as they complete a triathlon. The finish line will be conveniently located near the transition area in West Potomac Park.
